I noticed I suddenly did not have cruise control on any more (i noticed this both via the icon on the dashboard of the truck, and the fact that i was slowing down to a stop). When I tried to turn it on, by pressing the C button, text popped up saying the retarder was enabled, and cruise control also did not turn on.
Now there are those 3 options: 0km/h over the setup speed: what gives you no margin and causes the truck to loose the useful extra inertia on some consecutive downhill-uphill. 5km/h over the setup speed: useful most of times but that could make you drive beyond that +5km/h limit in hard slopes, with the risk of get fined.
That message persists when you have manually activated the retarder. Check your settings for the retarder increase/decrease keys and hit the decrease key in-game for a few times. As far as I understand, this is a bug. If you press the apostrophe key, it should go away.

Installation is easy inside Euro Truck Simulator 2. Place the acquired DLL inside bin/win_x86/plugins/ of your ETS2 installation. It is possible the plugins directory doesn't exists yet (as with every default installation). In that case you need to create the plugins folder. Place the DLL inside the plugins folder.
