I have a mk5 golf, 1.9tdi. I have had a remap/new SMF and clutch after. About 5,000 miles after the above additions i have gone in to limp mode 3/4 times. (its not everyday, weeks apart) Each time has been while booting it past a car. NO CEL/EML has come on dash. Resets soon as i cycle the ignition. Most of the time, a sudden cut of power is related to sensor or turbo problems. These codes generally show an underboost or overboost situation which sets you into limp mode. The N75 solenoid is the solenoid that controls pressure to the turbo wastegate (mk3 TDI) or vacuum to the VNT actuator (mk4, mk5, mk6 TDI). The new compressors have a control valve operated by the ECU. It removes the pressure from the system if more power is required from the engine. These valves are notorious for sticking open and then your compressor cannot build-up pressure to make the AC work. The simple way is to replace the valve. Price range from $25 to $80 for the valve. The next two follow codes are new on this latest scan: EGR Valve 2 (N213): P045F Stuck Closed MIL ON, Fault Status 11100000, Fault Priority 2. EGR Valve 2 (N213): P045A Electrical Malfunction MIL ON, Fault Status 111000000, Fault Priority 2. I had him clear the codes and I took back out until Glowplug light came back and then scanned again -- Status: Malfunction 0010 10-Park/Steer Assist -- Status: OK 0000 15-Airbags -- Status: OK 0000 17-Instruments -- Status: OK 0000 19-CAN Gateway -- Status: Malfunction 0010 25-Immobilizer -- Status: OK 0000 56-Radio -- Status: OK 0000 ----- Address 01: Engine (J623-CAAA) Labels:. 03L-906-022-CAA.clb Part No SW: 03L 906 022 CB HW: 03L 907 309 Faults are generally split/cracked hoses, turbo actuator or EGR.
