Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Review. This lens is the more modest cousin of Canon’s L-series version, which includes both image stabilisation (IS) and ultra-low dispersion (ULD) glass.
In order to serve this market, Canon finally released the Canon RF 100mm f/2.8 L USM IS macro. As professional-grade lenses go, the price for the entry ticket is on the high side at $1400/1500EUR - that's more than double the amount you have to pay for the faster RF 85mm f/2.
So once again, the lenses I have in mind are the Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro (non-L) and the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro. I would go for Sigma. It has stabilisation which is almost as good as 100L's, HSM AF is equally slowish as 100L's and is better build than 100/2.8 USM. Optically is as good or better than 100L.
